In November 2017, CFA Society Nigeria announced an initiative to conduct a study of the “Best places for women to Work” in the Nigerian investment industry. This study is part of CFA Society Nigeria’s Women in Investment Management initiative aimed at promoting gender diversity in the investment industry. CFA Society Nigeria has engaged the services of Great Place To Work® Nigeria to conduct this study on its behalf. The output of the study will be available to all participating firms and will be a useful tool for decisión making by senior management. CFA Society Nigeria also intends to present recognition awards to three firms that are regarded as the “Best places for women to Work in the investment industry” during its Investment Industry Awards dinner on 9 November, 2018 at the Eko Convention Centre, Lagos.
Based on the foregoing, Great Place To Work® Nigeria and CFA Society Nigeria are delighted to announce the launch of the Best Workplaces for Women in Investment Industry Award. The Award recognises organisations in the finance and investment industry in Nigeria that are particularly supportive of women, actively encouraging them to achieve their full potential.
This award, using the same methodology used by the world-renowned Best Workplaces™, recognizes financial institutions that go beyond the statutory requirement to ensure that women in their workplaces are treated fairly when it comes to pay, recognition, training and promotion opportunities, as well as the policies available to and for them to attend to personal, maternal and family commitments.
We are pleased to invite your firm to participate in the workplace practices study, the output of which will be used to determine the best workplaces for women in the investment industry. The Great Place To Work Institute will undertake this research and will be analyzing opportunities created by your organization to ensure women in your workforce are recognized for their contributions and given the opportunity to develop personally and professionally without giving one up for the other.
Participation entails running the Great Place To Work Surveys for your organization at no cost. The Survey will include the Trust Index Survey, Employees’ Perception of their experience, Culture Audit, Management perception and Additional submission.
The window for participation is opened till 31st of March 2019.
