Teaching At The Right Level

TaRL Africa, hosted by Empower Learning Africa, is a not-for-profit organization headquartered in Nairobi, with teams in Côte d’Ivoire, Nigeria, and Zambia. Established in 2019 as a joint venture by Pratham and J-PAL, TaRL Africa supports governments and organizations in accelerating children's foundational skill learning through the evidence based Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach. Our vision is for every child in Africa to have foundational skills for a better future. Working in over 16 countries, we help design, deliver, and scale impactful TaRL programs, reaching over 5 million children to date.
