Great Place To Work® Certification™ helps companies attract and retain top talent, improve productivity, enhance reputation, and gain valuable insights into their workplace culture.

Learninga new process can be a bit confusing and we’re happy to assistorganizationsthat are beginning their Certification journey. Below you can find the answers to the most frequently asked questions we’re getting from employers like you.

How much impact does the survey have on our staff time and workload?

Employee surveys take approximately 12 minutes to complete. The survey platform allows any person talking the survey to pause during the survey, if he/she cannot complete it at a go, or needs to attend to an issue, and upon their return they can continue from where they left off. Our Trust Index™ survey platform simplifies setting up and launching your employee experience survey, giving you access to a dedicated Customer Success Manager who will guide you through the entire process.

Is there a cost for your services?

Yes. Our service costs are competitive, and we have three package tiers to meet your objectives, based on the services you require. Cost is also based on the total employee headcount within your organization. Get in touch with one of our Great Place to Work® experts to obtain a quote.

What is the difference between being Great Place to Work-Certified™ and the Best Workplaces™ Programme?

Becoming Great Place to Work-Certified™ is the first milestone in our recognition process. An organization that has completed the employee survey process can receive Certification for a 12-month period, at any point in the year once they have met the minimum 65% Trust Index© employee survey threshold and submitted their Culture Brief©. Then, through our Best Workplaces™ Programme, which usually culminates in the release of our national list, we determine the best from the pool of Certified™ organizations based on the outcome of both your Trust Index© survey and Culture Audit©.

What is the criteria for an organization wanting to participate in your Certification and Best Workplaces™ Programme?

A minimum of 10 employees are required to gain Great Place to Work Certification. To also be eligible for our Best Workplaces™ Programme, you will need a minimum of 10 employees.

What is the process for being recognized as a Best Workplace™?

Our Trust Index© survey and Culture Audit© are the two tools used to assess organizations participating in the Best Workplaces™ Programme. Together, they enable us to generate accurate and fair measures of employee engagement, trust and wellbeing as well as your organization’s HR and management practices.

Is your survey available in different languages?

Yes. We always survey in English, but translations into other languages are available at an additional cost. These include French, Portuguese, and a host of commonly spoken languages.

What happens if my organization does not meet the requirements to be a Best Workplace™?

Ranking on our Best Workplaces™ lists is no mean feat! We never disclose the names or results of any company which does not receive this recognition, but rather offer to support these organizations to improve their employee experience and achieve better results in the future.

Our mission is to create a better world by helping organizations become great workplaces for all. Certification™, which organizations of 10+ employees will receive if they hit the 65% Trust Index survey threshold and submit their Culture Brief, allows you to signal to the world that you are on the journey to building a better workplace culture.

Our services go beyond recognition, too! We provide bespoke consultancy which enables individual organizations to make continuous improvements based on key data and insights that target their unique set of needs at any given time. All our clients are assigned a dedicated Project Manager to help with every step of the process in moving from good to great, including post-survey support.

What about your Consulting Services?

In addition to our Best Workplaces™ Programme, we offer Consultancy Services including tailored workshops, focus groups, leadership interviews, leadership & team coaching, line management training, employee metrics benchmarking, bespoke workforce analytics, insights and best people practices, executive presentations, a holistic Employee Wellbeing offering, change management programmes, Diversity and Inclusion insights and Employee Value Proposition programmes.

If we choose to partner with Great Place to Work® Nigeria, will we lose our existing employee data from previous surveys?

You will not lose previous data. We are highly experienced in ensuring the smooth transition from an existing questionnaire to our Trust Index© employee survey. Being able to track 'trend' comparisons on individual questions across time is a crucial requirement if you already have employee data from your current survey. This is true for many of our clients, who have an established survey that has been used for several years. Customization of our Trust Index© format allows you to track and compare data on bespoke historic engagement questions.

Is assessment limited to take place on an annual basis only?

You don't have to wait for annual list recognition to begin your journey towards creating a better workplace for all. Some organizations partner with us on an annual basis, supplementing main measures with additional pulse surveys throughout the year as a temperature check on their actions. Other clients make frequent pulse checks on a quarterly or even monthly basis. Ultimately, we believe that measures should only be taken at a frequency where you feel important change may happen.

Do we have to participate in the full Best Workplace™ Programme?

No. For many organizations, the Great Place to Work® Nigeria partnership is part of a journey. With this in mind, we often conduct standalone assessments without the need for recognition, to help identify the key drivers that will support you in moving from a good to great workplace for all.
